This film was the first stop-motion puppet animation to be produced for IMAX film projection. It was distributed for both IMAX and standard movie house 35mm. It was nominated for an Academy Award in the Animation Short category. I did the 2D layout design which appears in the fantasy sequences.

Absolut Panushka
website published in 1999
A brilliant website directed by animation filmmaker Christine Panushka, Professor of Animation Cinema at USC, for Absolut Vodka. This website was a beautiful exploration of experiemntal animation cinema from around the globe. I was requested to particpate in the "up and coming animation filmmakers" section, and provided an animated navigation webpage. Troon Productions of Santa Monica, with the Creative Direction of Debra Callabresi, directed the production. The website is unfortunately no longer available online. |

Mad TV, stop-motion shorts/ Corky Quakenbush
1999-2000
I was a stop-motion animator and camera person for a series of stop-motion shorts such as "Dennis the Menace II Society," "Gumby Old Men," "Davey and Goliath: Pet Semetary" and the Fox pilot for the TV show "Gary and Mike." The style was "down and dirty," and taught me a lot about endurance. The insane puppet master behind these shorts is Corky Quakenbush of Space Bass Films. |

Stand-up Comic
Swell Productions / The Romp
I was a character designer, gag writer and animator for an online series that spotlighted stand-up comics. I would re-create the comic's routine in animation as well as provide interactive heckling opportunities. See a few images...
